But if you can&#8217;t explain what IS 875 actually means, you can&#8217;t evaluate whether that claim is meaningful or marketing.<\/p>\n<p>This article explains \u2014 in plain language \u2014 what IS 875 covers, what compliance actually requires, and why it should be non-negotiable in any solar structure you purchase in India.<\/p>\n<h3>What IS 875 Is<\/h3>\n<p>IS 875 is the Bureau of Indian Standards code of practice for design loads (other than earthquake) for buildings and structures.
